This is a one off aluminum liner with a hand cut side plate, manually machined face and spring shelf, and a recessed yoke for a smaller overall package. TIG welded and highly polished weighing around 6 ounces with a MIDI coil setup, so it lands in a nice middle ground size wise.
This one is strong and smooth. I used thicker 3/8 coil cores on this build to help soak up some of the vibration from the aluminum frame and give it a better sound and feel overall. Super lightweight, but still feels like a nice daily driver instead of an overly twitchy aluminum machine.
Would be great pushing 5s to 11s all day. Nice solid hit. Broken in and tuned on actual tattoos here in San Diego.
