How do I book an appointment?

  1. Appointments can be scheduled directly on my website by clicking here.

  2. If you would like to discuss your ideas for a tattoo before scheduling an appointment, please book a free consultation. Sometimes just a brief email will do, otherwise a more in-depth conversation will be needed. Consultations will generally be done in person at the shop. Although other arrangements can me made for far away clients.

Do you do cover-ups?

Yes! It is best to book a consultation so we can figure out together what will work best, as every cover-up situation is unique and different.

How far do you book out?

I usually book out no more than 3 months to keep things manageable.

What are your rates?

I charge $200.00 an hour. My minimum is $150 and covers the first 45 minutes of tattooing. Pricing is based on the amount of time it will take to complete the tattoo. A $100 deposit is required to book an appointment (more for larger projects) and it will go towards the final cost of your tattoo. For multi-session tattoos, the deposit will be held and taken off your last session. Deposits need to be sent as soon as a date/time is agreed upon to secure your appointment. Otherwise, you risk losing your slot. I require a 5 day notice to reschedule**.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your deposit may be forfeited if:

• You do not show up to your appointment

• You cancel your appointment or reschedule without giving at least 5 day notice.

• You arrive more than 20 minutes late to your appointment without a call or text.

• You arrive to your appointment without government-issued identification.

• You arrive intoxicated.

**Please note: if you feel sick, please reschedule your appointment. Your deposit will remain valid and will not be forfeited.

Touch-ups, if needed, are FREE within the first year.

DOES GETTING A TATTOO HURT?

It depends on your tolerance for pain and what you consider painful. However, in general, most people are able to tolerate the discomfort and find that it is a small price to pay for something that they will be proud to wear on their body. During the tattoo process ink is placed in the dermis, the second layer of skin, therefore, minor discomfort should be expected. Most people report that getting a tattoo feels like a sunburn but with proper care and by following after care instructions provided by our San Diego tattoo artist, all discomfort should subside within a few days.

HOW MUCH DOES GETTING A TATTOO IN SAN DIEGO COST?

Tattoo prices depend on many factors, including the size and design of your tattoo, as well as the artist’s experience and expertise. It is very important to note that the tattoo you are getting is something you will wear for the rest of your life, therefore quality should come first. In most cases, you get what you pay for, so be sure to take this into consideration.

I WANT A TATTOO, WHAT IS NEXT?

I want a tattoo, but I am not sure what to get. Where do I start?

We always recommend to start with brainstorming on what you like and what you are passionate about. Also, it helps to look at photographs of different tattoos online or in industry magazines. Once you have somewhat of an idea, the next step should be to talk to a tattoo artist in San Diego by setting up a consultation.

WHAT KIND OF TATTOO SHOULD I GET AND WHERE?

This is all a matter of personal taste. If you want a tattoo, make sure that its something you are going to like for the rest of your life. If you have some ideas but are not sure where to go next, it is always good to talk to a San Diego tattoo artist. He or she can help you complete your vision, draw a few designs and also recommend where on your body the tattoo should be placed. This is all dependent on your lifestyle and how visible you want your body art to be.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR TO GET A TATTOO?

You can get a tattoo any time of the year. You may have heard that it is best to get tattooed in the winter; however, this should not matter, as long as you stay out of the sun for a few days. We will give you specific instructions on how to take care of your tattoo in the days following your procedure.

CAN I DONATE BLOOD IF I HAVE A TATTOO?

In general, people with tattoos can donate blood. But in certain situations, you need to wait a year before giving. That’s only the case if you live in a location where tattoo facilities aren’t regulated, the American Red Cross explained. Most states regulate tattoo facilities, but they aren’t regulated in D.C., New York, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Idaho, Georgia, Nevada, Massachusetts, Maryland, Utah, or Wyoming. So, if you have gotten a tattoo in one of these 11 locations within the past 12 months, you’ll need to wait until after that time to donate blood.

HOW LONG DOES TATTOOING TAKE?

This all depends on the size and intricacy of your tattoo. Large tattoos are usually completed in several sessions. Smaller tattoos can be completed within one session. Your San Diego tattoo artist will let you know how many sessions you need and how long each session will last after talking to you about your desires. I try to work with your schedule. You can also choose to go at your own pace, depending on how soon you want your body art to be done and whether you want to add to it down the line. We’ll help you work out the details during your consultation with your San Diego Tattoo Artist.
