Handmade Tattoo Machines — San Diego
one machine at a time.
I build handmade tattoo machines one at a time in my San Diego workshop. No mass production, no shortcuts.
Every machine gets run for a full day and tattooed with for a week before it ships. If it doesn't feel right in my hand, it doesn't leave. And if it ever needs a tune-up down the road — years later, doesn't matter — send it back.
I've been tattooing since 1998 and I build machines because I know what a good one feels like. Most of what's out there doesn't cut it.
If you want something built by someone who actually uses it, you're in the right place.
A few machines that have gone out the door.

tattoo Machine Rebuilds & Tune-Ups
Got an old coil machine sitting in a drawer? I do rebuilds. I've been building and working on coil machines since 2010, if it's worth saving, I can make it worth using again.
No cheap imports. Frames need to be a known alloy — cast iron, steel, brass, aluminum. If you're not sure, reach out first.
$100 — Tune-Up New springs, contact screw adjustment, basic setup. For machines that are built right and just need to come back to life.
$200 — Builder’s Choice Rebuild Send me the frame — complete, partial, or bare — and I'll rebuild it into what I think it should be. Full creative control on my end. You get a top-shelf machine back.
$300 — Full Rebuild, Your Specs You have input on everything: hardware, finish options, modifications. This is for a machine with good bones that deserves a full overhaul.
Free — My Machines If I built it, tune-ups are free. Just cover shipping both ways.
How it works: Use the contact form to tell me what you've got. Once we've talked it over, download the form below, print it, and pack it in the box with your machine.
