Nib Holders

Filters

These nib holders started as a personal fix. I got tired of cheap plastic handles and realized most tattooers have a box of old metal grips sitting around doing nothing. This seemed like a natural evolution -- turn them into something useful.

I make them one at a time in a few different styles. Some use a solid grip, and I started making them slightly longer than a standard tattoo grip. It just feels more comfortable painting flash. Most come with an A-bar alignment tool on the back so they pull double duty -- check each listing for what's included.

I've made them in brass, aluminum, and stainless -- including a 9oz brass grip for artists who want the extra weight. If you have your own grip and just need a turned blank with the nib insert and alignment tool, or want a specific size or material, get in touch.

What I build with

After using the early versions with old grips they felt a little short, so I started making them longer and experimenting with different weights and materials. Aluminum keeps things light. Brass adds forward weight and a different feel in the hand. Stainless is durable and corrosion resistant.

Most come in 3/4", 1", and 1.25" -- browse the shop above for what's currently available.

More parts coming soon

I have a batch of new machined parts in production. Once they're ready I'll have more options available. Check back or drop your email below to stay in the loop.
